Walking a Mile in Your Shoes

“When a patient walks out our door with a smile, it makes my day knowing that our practice is the reason why.”

Elba Rocha, Office Manager
Elba Rocha
Office Manager & Patient Advocate

From an early age, Elba always found herself taking care of others—from her sibling to her grandparents. It’s no wonder why she naturally followed a career path in the medical field.

As both Office Manager and Patient Advocate, Elba gets to work closely with patients. She not only finds being part of a small practice very rewarding, she also enjoys seeing the patient-provider bond that is absent in larger practices.

Elba has been with Bay Area Foot & Laser Podiatry Group since 2011. She has a psychology degree and is also a certified medical assistant.

Outside of work, she spends her time with her husband and three children. Together, they enjoy exploring new places, afternoon walks, and quiet evenings playing board games.

Grace Paxton, Medical Assistant
Grace Paxton
Medical Assistant & Patient Advocate

Grace is grateful for being a part of a small private practice that provides such personalized and compassionate care. Because we’re only as good as the sum of our parts, we’re grateful for Grace.

She’s no stranger at being on her feet for hours at a time. As a former performer in a small opera company in San Diego and a dancer, she genuinely understands the importance of happy pain-free feet.

Grace graduated from UC Berkeley. She studied microbiology and Celtic studies while researching the bugs of Hawaii.

Outside of work, you can find her either baking sweets, volunteering at the Berkeley Free Clinic, or upcycling furniture.

To know Jamie is to understand how truly passionate she is about patient care and how much she enjoys building close relationships with patients.

She has extensive experience working with a wide range of patient populations here with us and during her time at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and Asian Health Services in Oakland.

Jamie holds a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and is furthering her education to become a Physician Assistant.

During her free time, she loves to go on scenic drives and discover new restaurants around the Bay Area with her friends and family.
